Community
We try to invest as much as we can into community initiatives and fundraising. Particularly those for young people, and unique projects in our community. If you have a project that we may be able to help with, please contact us.
Below area a few of our fundraising initiatives.
ST IVES SKATEPARK PROJECT
The St Ives Skatepark Project is very close to our hearts and we’ve helped by running a few events to raise money towards the new park. In 2017 Lee was joined in St Ives by renowned Michelin starred chefs Josh Eggleton, Peter Sanchez- Iglesias and Tom Brown to cook a tasting menu of incredible South West produce, raising £4800
KERNOACHELLA
Kernoachella was our first ever festival. In summer 2019 we threw a completely free festival in St Ives as a party for the local community. The festival included the inaugural St Ives Open skate contest, and was headlined by UK rap legend Lowkey and Krafty Kuts.
YOUTH FOOTBALL SPONSORSHIP
We used our street food cart to sell oysters and managed to fundraise a new football kit for our local under 10s team. Once the team had outgrown the kit it was sent to a new home and team in The Gambia.
PAY WHAT YOU CAN TICKET INITIATIVE
For each of our live music events we set aside a percentage of our overall tickets for guests to pay whatever they can. This could be because they’re studying or just don’t have the budget for tickets but we provide these ticket sales so that being a few quid short doesn’t stop someone having a great night out.
LIVE MUSIC FUNDRAISING
As part of his UK Candlelit Tour, reggae legend Natty played an acoustic set to raise money for the local skatepark. The event was a sellout and we raised £5000 for the park.
